At Selfkey (KEY) we have one of many Blockchain projects dedicated to privacy and security of personal information. Users should have complete control over their identities and data without the risk of data leakage from a centralised database.
External services, such as portals or exchanges with KYC (Know Your Cutomer), should be able to verify the integrity of a user via an interface on this Blockchain without revealing personal data. This should also enable trust in KYC anger in general in cryptospace. Here the SSID (Self-Sovereign Identification System) should play a role as a core point, where the user can store full control over his data in a decentralised manner.
The ERC-20 based token KEY is to be understood as a utility token for the ecosystem of the Selfkey Blockchain. On the SelfKey Wallet's marketplace, service providers can offer their services by luring a minimum quantity of KEY tokens into smart contracts, thus creating a shortage.
Since only the token is intended for this purpose, one cannot speak of a Value of Exchange as with Bitcoin.
