The loop is a utility token based on ERC-20 and published in 2017 by ICO (Initial Coin Offering). This token has no maximum capitalisation and is therefore inflationary.
As with the comparable Kyber Network Crystal (KNC), the aim is to break up the monopoly position and thus the centralisation of exchange platforms such as Kraken, Binance etc. Therefore, such tokens and networks should be considered as DEX (Decentral Exchanges) rather than a modular protocol to support high trading volumes.
Through Ring Sharimg and Order Matching, Loopring enables traders, exchange platforms or non-crypto-custodial services to connect to your network.
When changing crypto currencies with Loopring, the orders are stored as Smart Contracts on the chain.
Due to the current hype in the DeFi area, such DEX-supporting tokens have also increased in price in the recent past.
The blogging platform publish0x distributes tokens as a free addition for the use of their portal until recently LRC tokens for free use. However, these were replaced by the token AMPL.
