LISK (LSK) is a token based on ERC-20 and published in 2016 as ICO (Initial China Offering).
This environment is intended to support developers in the development of dApps (decenrealized applications) using Javascript at the LISK SideChain. Because of the wide distribution of the programming language and an alternative to the C++ based Bitcoin, the way to dApps should be made easier for developers.
The SideChain is thus an independent strand of the original Ethereum network.
Various interfaces are provided.
It enables programmers to access real-time data via Oracle.
It eliminates counterparty risk through secure, trustworthy escrow services.
It allows data to be stored in the decentralised network.
Finally, it supports automatic authentication using SingleSignOn methods.
The token can be traded at all major exchanges such as Binance, Kraken or HitBTC.
For storage I recommend the Hardware Wallet Ledger with your own Ledger Live.
But there are other MultiWallers for the desktop or smartphones, which can manage the LISK.
After the general hype of 2017 and the price of more than 23$, the price is back at just under 1,5$
