DigiByte opinion #1
DigiByte DGB was created in 2014 as a decentralised currency to provide an alternative to the slow Bitcoin transactions.
The maximum capitalisation is 21 billion DGB Coins, which creates blocks every 15 minutes in a PoW (Proof of Work). Therefore the last block will be mined as early as 2035. The short time for finding a block allows for a much higher number of transactions and much cheaper fees than compared to Bitcoin.
In the last years other crypto technologies like SegWit, MultiAlgo etc. have been implemented in the code. However, the extension of the hash algorithm to protect the network portfolio from only AES-256 to the additional algorithms Scrypt, Groestl, Qubit and Skein is worth mentioning. Thus different hardware components like GPU, CPU can offer equal competition to ASIC Miners.
The community of this crypto currency is enormous compared to others and can boast over 200,000 nodes.
It is therefore not surprising that even famous advocates such as computer specialist John McAfee, for example, have spoken out in favour of DigiByte in 2017.
