The Blackcoin (BLK) is one of the older crypto currencies in KryptoSpace. This coin came into being as early as 2014 and was one of the first PoS (Proof of Stake) coins, in order to counteract the supposed weaknesses of Bitcoin with the high energy expenditure in PoW (Proof of Work). In addition, the PoS was intended to attract more investors, who were promised good returns with the benefits of 1% p.a. The transaction speed here is just under 64 seconds and should therefore also be able to process large transaction volumes in the shortest possible time. Apart from BTC, BLK has the same characteristics regarding transactions and wallets with a private and public key.
After the general hype phase in the crypto sector in 2017 with a maximum capitalisation of almost $70 million, things became pretty quiet around this ecosystem. It turns out that missing adaptations or unique selling propositions let such projects also run close to zero.
In the long run I see only a niche existence and possibly as speculative strategies for investors.
Therefore I can only advise against investing in this coin.
